SNAGVAULT / THE DETAILS

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SnagVault handles personal information when you browse our UK website at https://snagvault.com, contact us or follow an offer link.

Who is responsible and how to contact us

SnagVault is operated by Ayesha Syed, the website owner identified on our Contact Us page. The website owner is responsible for the personal information handled by SnagVault.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email admin@snagvault.com with the subject “Privacy request”. You can also use the contact form or the alternative owner contact on our Contact Us page.

Information you provide to us

When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. If you email us directly, we also receive anything you choose to include, such as an offer link or an attachment. We use this information to reply, investigate an issue, correct an offer or handle a partnership or privacy enquiry.

The contact form sends your message by email. The form itself does not keep a separate copy of your message in the WordPress database; the resulting email and replies may remain in our mail service and its backups.

Providing information is voluntary. The form needs a name, working email address and message so we can respond. Without enough information, we may be unable to deal with your enquiry. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information.

Technical information and spam prevention

Operating and protecting the website can involve technical records such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and error records. Our hosting and security services use such information to deliver the website, identify faults and investigate misuse.

The contact form also uses temporary counters linked to protected, hashed versions of an IP address and email address to limit repeated submissions. The form does not store the raw IP address in those counters. Its IP-based counter expires after 15 minutes and its email-based counter after one hour. This does not determine the retention of separate hosting or security logs.

Cookies and your choices

The website uses a CookieAdmin preference panel. Open the cookie icon shown on the site to review the available cookie categories, reject optional cookies or change your choices. Your browser also lets you remove stored cookies and control future storage. Blocking cookies needed for a feature can prevent that feature from working.

WordPress uses cookies for functions such as testing cookie support, keeping authorised users signed in and remembering their administration preferences. These login features are separate from browsing the public coupon listings.

Optional analytics, advertising or other tracking technologies require the appropriate choice or consent where the law requires it. Choosing to contact us does not give consent to unrelated tracking or marketing. Retailer and affiliate websites have their own cookie controls once you leave SnagVault.

Newsletter and marketing

Newsletter signup is not currently connected. Our Newsletter page does not enrol you in a mailing list, and using the contact form does not subscribe you to marketing emails. If a subscription service is introduced, we will explain the information used and the choices available at signup and update this notice as needed.

Why we use information

Where UK data protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries, maintain accurate website information, prevent spam and operate a reliable and secure service. These interests are considered alongside your rights and expectations.

Where consent is required for optional technologies or a future marketing service, we rely on that consent for the relevant activity. You can withdraw consent through the relevant preference control or by contacting us. We may also process information where necessary to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Service providers, retailers and affiliate links

Information may be handled by service providers involved in website hosting, email delivery and storage, security, maintenance and backups. Access depends on the service they provide and the information needed for that service.

Some offer links are affiliate links. Following one may take you through an affiliate network before reaching a retailer. Those services can receive technical and referral information from your browser and may use their own cookies. See our Affiliate Disclosure and the destination service’s privacy notice for more information.

Purchases take place with the retailer. SnagVault does not collect your payment-card details through a retailer’s checkout or process the retailer’s payment. The retailer is responsible for information you provide to it, including order, delivery and payment details.

We may disclose relevant information when required by law or where necessary to address misuse or legal claims.

Where information is handled

Email, hosting, support and retailer services can involve processing in countries other than the country where you are located. The applicable arrangements depend on the service and the information involved. Contact us if you need details about where information relating to your enquiry is handled or about any applicable international-transfer safeguards. External retailers and affiliate networks explain their own arrangements in their privacy notices.

How long information is kept

We keep enquiry information for the time needed to respond and deal with related follow-up, disputes or legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the nature of the enquiry, whether it remains unresolved and whether a record is needed to establish or defend a claim.

Technical and security records are kept according to their operational purpose, including fault investigation and incident handling. Temporary contact-form counters expire as described above. Copies in scheduled backups may remain until the relevant backup is replaced or deleted. Contact us about the retention or deletion of a particular record.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy of information. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

You have the right to object to direct marketing. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation.

Send requests to admin@snagvault.com. We may ask for proportionate information to confirm your identity and locate the relevant records. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Some rights have exceptions, for example where a record must be retained to meet a legal obligation.

You can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You do not have to contact us before making a complaint, although we welcome the opportunity to address your concern.

Children and security

SnagVault is a general shopping information website and is not specifically directed at children. If you believe a child has supplied information that should not have been collected, please contact us.

No online service or email system is completely secure. Please limit the information you send to what is needed for your enquiry.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change and show the revision date above. Where a change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it before the relevant new use of information.
